What we read from your resume
When you upload a resume, we read it to pull out skills, experience, education, titles, seniority. We do this for one reason: to match you to jobs. Nothing else.
We also keep the file itself, and the text we read out of it, so we can re-match you as new jobs arrive without asking you to upload again.
What else we hold
- Your account: email address and how you sign in (Google, or an email and password). We never see or store a password; our database has no column for one.
- Your search preferences: the four answers you give on the preferences screen: locations, work mode, target role, and an optional salary range.
- What you do with a job: whether you saved it, dismissed it (and why, if you told us), or applied. This is what makes the feed remember where you left off, and it is what teaches the matching.
- Your match scores and coaching: kept so that re-opening a job you have already been scored against is instant and costs you nothing from your plan.
We do not sell any of it, we do not share it with employers, and we never apply to a job on your behalf. Every apply is a redirect to the original posting.
Where it is stored, and who processes it
We run on other companies' infrastructure, and you should know which. Each one sees only the part it needs:
- Neon: our database (Singapore). Your profile, preferences, scores and job activity live here.
- Cloudflare R2: object storage for the resume file itself.
- Clerk: sign-in. Clerk holds your email and credentials so that we do not have to.
- Anthropic: the model that reads your resume into a profile and writes the coaching. Your resume text is sent here.
- Voyage AI: turns your profile and each job description into the numeric vectors we match on.
- Vercel: runs the site itself.
Your details are never sent to a job board or a scraper. We fetch jobs on a schedule into a shared cache and match you against it here. The sources never learn that you exist.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. We do not expire or purge your data automatically today, so a dormant account stays until you remove it. You can delete everything yourself in Settings, or write to hello@hirerizz.com and we will do it for you.
Deleting everything
One button, in Settings. It is not a request that we action later: it runs immediately, and it is irreversible. In order:
- Your resume files are deleted from storage.
- In one database transaction, your account row is deleted and everything attached to it goes with it: your consent record, resumes, parsed profile and its embeddings, preferences, every match score and piece of coaching, your saved, dismissed and applied jobs, your feedback, and any subscription and usage records.
- Storage is swept a second time, in case an upload landed mid-delete.
- Your sign-in account is deleted last, so a failure anywhere above is retryable.
Two things deliberately survive
We are not going to tell you "everything is erased" when it is not.
- One audit line recording that a deletion happened, when, and how many files it removed. It identifies you only by an irreversible SHA-256 hash of your email address: no name, no address itself, and no link back to any other row. It has to outlive the account, or the record that we honoured your request would be deleted along with the request.
- Anonymised cost lines. Every time we call a model we log what it cost us: a token count and a price, nothing else. Those lines stay, with the link to you removed. They contain no resume content and nothing that identifies you.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent, which means deletion, because we cannot run the product without a stored profile.
Deletion and correction you can do yourself: delete from Settings, and fix anything the resume parse got wrong from your preferences. For anything else, including a copy of your data, email hello@hirerizz.com. We are a small team; expect a human, and expect a reply within a few days rather than instantly.
